Product is fine... pray you never need support
Our system, when it works, works great. When you need to talk to their team (either for installation or activation, or support), they are truly offer. Honestly, I'd rather call my health insurance company, or the friggin IRS. Their support is slow and unhelpful, their self-service resources are terrible, and they don't appear to understand their own systems at all.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
The sales process and installation makes you feel confident in their product. They'll tell you and show you biased studies about their technology showing that it is superior to other companies. Within the same year that I bought my (rather large) system, the microinverters were not functioning properly. This lead to electric bills similar to the ones I would receive before having the solar system installed. I called for three months asking them to take a look at my system and kept being reassured that everything was working properly - "it has just been a very hot year". Finally, they discovered they had installed equipment with known issues that had actually been recalled. They did, however replace this equipment, which I am pleased about. However, when I contacted customer service (somewhere overseas) to see what could be done about those months I lost out in production because of the defective equipment, they simply said that now they have fixed the problem everything should be fine. I paid a lot of money for this system and to have it give me problems within the first year is very uneasy. I have also lost out on thousands of dollars because of a defected system not working during peak months and SunPower doesn't seem to care about that at all. They do not stand by their products and are simply in it to take your money. Please be aware of these guys! There HAS to be better choices out there.
