Referral Amount Pending, Unresolved Insulation Issue
I completed a referral installation over 6 months ago, but I have yet to receive the referral amount. I’ve been in contact with the support team, who have stated that the referral has been approved but is currently with the accounts team. However, they are unable to provide a timeline for when the check will be issued. This conversation has been ongoing for over two months with no resolution. Additionally, I created a ticket back in December 2025 for fixing the attic insulation and closing a hole during the installation process. Unfortunately, I have not received any response or updates on this matter either.

Poor customer service response
I had a removal and reinstall done because I needed a new roof. The job was completed and I’ve been trying to get a fina invoice from the accounting department. I call and email every week for the past 3 months and I’m constantly placed on hold for hours at a time with no explanation why I can’t get a final invoice.

Not happy
I have blue raven install solar panels. It cost me $60,000.00 and I was told my electric bill would go down. I have had the system for over a year and my utility bill did not go down very much at all. On top of that I was to get the 1st 18 months of the monthly payment for the solar paid by Blue solar. I have had to call each month to get it and it has been a month late each month. I will not recommend them as they didn't save me any money on my utility bill and now I have an addition bill each month to pay for something that isn't doing a dam thing for my pocket book.

Never followed up
I had a guy come out to talk over solar. He came several times in person which is why I wanted to go with this company. He assured me on a timeline, I submitted everything, and then waited. I never heard back. Then in the new year someone else called to say “it looks like you missed the window last year, how about now?” Nope. I didn’t hear anything except automated messages for 4 months straight. It all seemed to be good but it never went anywhere. Very disappointed as I liked it from the start and was going to go with them.

Worst Service
Took SEVEN Months To Get Permits. Seventeen Days After Installation They Called The Work Complete And Took The Funds From The Finance Company, Yet FORTY Days Since Installation The Panels Are Just Ornaments On My Roof And They Have NOT Got them Working. Work never materialized and they're charging us $1200 to cancel
Hi, I contacted Blue Raven August 2025, hiring them for solar panels on our home before federal incentives were set to expire (Big Beautiful Bill). On Setpember 3, I received the custom system design, but since then, no meaningful progress occured. Both my husband and I reached out to them through emails and phone calls in December, attempting to cancel. They counter offered to take money off of the job because not getting it done in 2025 meant a loss of $11,000 for our project. We were handed off to person after person. Today (January 21, 2026), my husband was contact by someone in their Customer Retention & Collections department. We are still unable to get firm confirmation from them that the project is canceled so we can move ahead with a different company. Instead, they informed y husband that they will assess us with a $1200 cancelation fee. Initially, when they're selling you on the project, communication is fast and positive. Then, if there's a tiny bump in the road, they disappear, it seems. The way they're treating us now, when it's been months with no real progress made, is terrible as a customer. I do not recommend them.

This company has been involved in a bankruptcy in 24. I have experienced the lack of communication first hand. It took forever to get them to do the work so I cancelled. They wanted money up-front, which I paid. When I cancelled in September, I was told there would be no problem getting the money back. I have called every week since then about the reimbursement. It's now the end of 25 and have received nothing but the run-around. They will not return calls or emails. I've contacted the better business bureau. They are not accredited and made me aware of the bankruptcy. They have a reputation for lack of communication. DO NOT CONSIDER THESE PEOPLE AS REPUTABLE.

We installed solar panels from Blue Raven Solar after reading good reviews but having horrible experience so far with the solar panel system within first year itself. Our solar panel system stopped generating power last month and reached out to customer support to get this fixed. It’s been more than a month but still I haven’t received any date from work order team to send their team to fix this issue. I called them but they were not able to provide any date. This was my third call to them in 1 month. They never reached out by themselves. I asked them to connect me with supervisor, waited for half an hour by did not get to talk any supervisor. After this experience, I will not suggest Blue Raven Solar / Sun Power to anyone again. There was another issue we faced last year about installation. They left the crowbar on the roof while installation. I reported it them but they never responded back till date. I am stuck now with them but I suggest everyone to not use their services again.

Terrible Customer Support - They actually break the system!
I had a tech come out to replace a motherboard on a WORKING system on Monday, 12/15. No part of my system has been working since. I was just told by Work Orders that they cannot get anyone out to my property until the new year, AND they can't even schedule it as of now. As such, I went from a WORKING system to a 100% broken system, and I have no recourse at all for minimally the next 2 weeks. They won't even schedule me. No wait! Worse than broken. When there is a grid blip, I now need to do a manual process to reconnect my house to the grid when utility power comes back! There should be accountability and responsibility taken by Blue Raven, as they were the ones that BROKE my WORKING system. I'm just getting excuses right now. My current state of my system is: - NO working panels - NO working controller - NO working batteries - I need to do a MANUAL reset of the entire system if my power goes out because of the error state it is in.

Greg from Sales
I wasn't necessarily considering switching to solar but my system installation was just completed last week. The door to door salesman was the first to spark my interest. I rarely schedule anything like this but he was informative, friendly, and professional. I set up the consultation and meet my sales rep Greg Rodee. From the start he seemed like a trusted friend. Going solar is a big expense, but he showed me the benefits of solar. Without pressuring me, he helped me weigh my options and calm my fears. Greg continued to be amazingly helpful from beginning to end. He kept me informed during the process. When I had questions or concerns, he was just a text or call away. He always responded right away. If he didn't know the answer, he found out and explained information clearly. I continue to contact him as I get with the system. My son also installed solar on his house. He already had a preliminary plan from a different company. After talking with Greg he switched companies. His installation was just completed. Greg is so valuable. I don't think I would have chosen solar without him. Thanks Greg!

Does the warranty actually add value and are the policies legal?
The sales person at Blue Raven was very responsive and helpful, but the back office people were very pushy and tried to cut corners with my HOA on approvals and start work without the necessary contract approvals. My sales person had to insert himself into the process, as the HOA was becoming angry. Installation went reasonably well, with only a little rework, and then a 6 week delay getting the system energized with our local power company. The system was sold with a 25 year warranty subject to minor annualized degradation of production. However, the labor warranty was only 2 years. The salesman made a big deal presenting the value of individual micro inverters as a dramatic improvement over legacy system designs. With the micro inverters, a failure only impacts production from a single panel. Sounds great! However, after 2 years and 5 months, one of the panels stopped producing power. The only way to get a Blue Raven person to look at it was to pay for a service visit. They discovered that one Enphase IQ8+ micro inverter had failed and would cover the part under warranty. The technician was only here for 15 minutes, but the site visit is a flat $369. Eventually, the replacement part was shipped to our home and I received another invoice for $449. Apparently, this is what they will charge me to swap-out the micro inverter which itself was under warranty. The billed labor rates are dramatically higher than labor content from the installation which was ~15% of the system cost. So much more expensive, that should I need to replace all of these micro inverters over the useful life of the system, the labor cost alone would be 60% of the original full system purchase with installation amounting to about 4X the labor cost for the original installation! Blue Raven do not allow you to replace the micro inverter yourself stating that you couldn't reconfigure the controller and doing your own work would "void the total system warranty". I am unclear if this last statement is in-fact legal in the US due to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. If not, then the Blue Raven office personnel are making false claims and a BBB complaint should be lodged. The "labor" cost of replacing the micro inverter exceeds the electrical power cost for the total power production capacity the part and panel provides over 23 years! This was certainly not something discussed at the time of purchase. I recommend getting a quoted service labor rate sheet and labor guaranty at the time of order or you should think long and hard before buying a system. I'll also add that the part failed over 3 months ago and I still do not have the part replaced. Are there credits due when the failure was caused by a faulty part under warranty? All work to be performed has to be "pre-paid" before they will even put you on the schedule. At a minimum ask for evidence or research failure rates and get quotes for service fees to include in your break-even analysis.

Good Sales Representative - Greg Rodee
Greg was the sales rep who worked with us here in SE Wisconsin. He provided us with information about solar energy which we knew very little about. He was not pushy about making a sale and was very patient with us in deciding whether or not to go solar. He explained the process of purchasing, permits, installation, inspection, and working with WE Energies to connect with the grid. We are very satisfied with Greg's performance as our sales rep. The overall experience was quite good on the Blue Raven teams part. Greg was non-pressuring during the initial consult and maintained good communication throughout the whole process. The physical panel install took less than a day to complete, and the installation team was thorough on cleanup. The only real downside was on the part of permits and the power company taking so long for a turnaround on paperwork.

Terrible loan process
It is late October and since mid-July I've been trying to get Blue Raven to correct the loan I financed. They mistakenly included my reroof plus the cost of solar, but I never did the reroof. In the meantime, they're holding my money. I've spoken with Finance Customer Service, the head of Finance, and now an escalation person who keeps promising me the information in writing and does not deliver. I will save on my solar and I think they offer the best product, but geez, this is ridiculous that they're holding $30,000 of my money!

These other bad reviews are spot on
Everything starts off great then derails once the install is done. Final inspection completed 8/4/25 today is 10/15/25 our system is still not turned on. They blame the energy company for sending the wrong interconnection agreement. One person says it takes 30 days another 60 days once the agreement is signed. They tell you they won’t start payments until 3 months after it’s energized, we have made two payments so far. They tell you your check is in the queue but don’t mention they don’t send reimbursements until after the system has been energized. We are cancelling our ACH disputing the previous two payments with the bank and have contacted an attorney. Stay away from them, unless you like being lied to.

Full of deception and lies.
Be careful when choosing this company. Their sales team will lie and deceive you in order to make a sale. What was offered and agreed on by my sales rep and me were completely different from the final documents. I know I should have read documents before signing but I did so in good faith. The sales rep never told me of the changes and now I'm locked in on a bad solar contract. It was the old bait and switch trick. I called Blue Raven and they won't do anything to fix the issues. Be aware of this tactic before signing a contract with Blue Raven or any other solar company.

Buyer Beware
I contracted with Blue Raven Solar to install solar panels on my home, but the experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. In late 2024, several of my panels stopped producing power due to critter damage. I promptly scheduled service, prepaying for parts and labor, including critter guards to prevent further issues. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward repair turned into months of delays: • Appointments were repeatedly rescheduled (sometimes weeks out). • Technicians arrived unprepared—either understaffed for the work required or missing the necessary hardware to complete the job. • At one point, the work stalled because only one of two scheduled technicians showed up, and the previous crew had taken the parts needed for completion. During this time, multiple panels remained offline, and I could hear squirrels continuing to nest on my roof. The system underproduced for months, creating financial loss and frustration. Although Blue Raven eventually completed the physical repairs in January 2025, the production reimbursement under my PV Guarantee has still not been paid. On December 9, 2024, their Work Order Lead calculated that I was owed $483.84. I was told a check would be issued within 4–5 weeks. It is now over seven months later, and despite countless emails, calls, and escalations, no reimbursement has been sent. I’ve been repeatedly told “accounting is backed up” but given no actual resolution. This pattern of taking customer money up front, delivering delayed and disorganized service, and then failing to honor contractual guarantees feels like bad faith and potentially deceptive business practices. As of today, I am still waiting for the reimbursement Blue Raven Solar agreed to pay. I am filing this review so others are aware of my experience. I would caution prospective customers to think twice before working with this company, as their customer service, accountability, and follow-through have been unacceptable.

Bad service after installation
My sales rep was fantastic. The system was installed quickly,HOWEVER there was an error at installation and it has been over 30 days with no response from them. I can't even turn it on at this point. Blue Raven is over priced. The inverters actually prevent the panels from sending all the electricity they could send, by about 25 percent. They are much more expensive than other providers. You can do much better. I didn't shop around. And they demand that YOU the customer pay them your tax credit money or they will increase your monthly payments! Be smart, I wasn't. You can save THOUSANDS.

Not working from the day of installation
Extremely disappointed with Blue Raven Solar’s service. From the start, the experience has been frustrating — delays in installation, poor communication, and zero accountability. Repeated calls and emails were either ignored or pushed around with no resolution. I expected professionalism and support, but instead got a company that seems to disappear once the contract is signed. I cannot recommend Blue Raven based on my experience.

Do not work with this company
Our system was installed in early March 2025 and has yet to be turned on as of mid-June 2025. Every step of obtaining permission to operate from our power company after the installation has been a nightmare. It took weeks to get things like a small correction on the application completed. Currently the power company has been waiting for the final payment for over a month. Every response from the company is a lie. They have claimed every time that they are working with the power company to resolve any issues and get the system up and running. I have contacted the power company several times and confirmed Blue Raven has not done anything since the last step was completed. Do not give them your business.

Poor Customer Service
Seems I'm not the only one having the same problem, reading through the recent reviews.. Their customer service is great before you buy, but terrible after! Their 25 year warranty does not include labor either. My panels have not been reporting to Enphase for a month. I have sent emails, and called. No one has gotten back to me. They don't care, they got their money. Definitely shop around, and do your homework!

Installation was good maintenance is terrible
The overall process of getting the solar installed was fairly easy and streamlined. Based off that experience this would have a been a 5 star review. The issue comes with any repairs that need to be done after your “two year window”. I had a micro inverter that went out after 3 years. No big problem I thought since it’s covered by warranty. Well the warranty doesn’t cover the $550 labor fee they wanted to charge me. Then the Gateway stopped reporting and that needs to be replaced. Also covered under warranty and much cheaper for labor at a reduced $350 for one tech for two hours ($175 for labor an hour). This is on top of the $20K loan I’m still paying off. I would definitely shop around more next time and find a company that doesn’t like to scam their customer out of insane amounts of money for simple repairs.

Very Favorable Experience from the Representative and Installers
The representative (Tomasz) worked through several iterations to find the best fit for my rooftop, and even went beyond the final plan when a last minute price change made the system even more affordable. I was a "pioneer" with solar panels back in 2010. Compared with the installation back then, the Blue Raven installers worked with exacting efficiency, and did the job in a fraction of the time it took for the system I had done 14 years earlier. Blue Raven has done multiple installations in our neighborhood, with word of mouth resulting in most of the systems being done by this company.

I got several quotes. Blue Raven had the highest quality panels and best warranty, so I was ok with it costing a few dollars more a month. My rep got me 18 months free so I havent paid any electrical cost for the last 3 months. The install crew was really nice and did a great job. The whole process only took 45 days.

Installation a NIGHTMARE!
We started the process with Blue Raven in May of 2024. We had our son also sign up for the system. Blue raven was to install his system first. They dropped off the materials (right in front of their garage door) and 2 days later came and said the plans were drawn wrong and they couldn't install the system. It took 2 months and phone calls to Utah to get the materials picked up. Meanwhile we discovered that the panels we were sold were not the newer panels that were more effecient. So we asked for the effecient panels. This dalayed the project because they had to rewrite the plan. That was in late June. Installation was finally scheduled for September 1 (cancelled by blue raven), mid September (Cancelled by blue raven) October 10 (Cancelled by blue raven) and finally installed on October 14 (but no electrician was available so that happened on October 16. Each time we had to take off from work because someon had to be home for the installation. It is now December 5 and the system is still not operational because blue raven cannot give the power company correct plans and specs for the system. We have made many calls to Utah, talked to many people, and have gotten nowhere. I would stay away from this company at all costs. They may have a good product (I can't tell because they can't get it operational) but they cannot seem to install it and make connections with power companies.

Terrible experience, bait and Switch
Blue Raven Solar uses bait and Switch. They record you the first time a sales rep talks to you and then refer back to that recording, saying " you agreed that the only thing that matters is what we wrote in your final contact. " Anything your sales rep or any other employee with Blue Raven tells you is likely not true and they later say, "we told you so. " Do yourself a favor and either use a different company, or hire a lawyer to make sure you are getting what you hope to receive. Do not trust that what they tell you, even when you ask a direct question, is true. This company uses bait and Switch. I was sold a system that COSTS me money each month. It costs me MORE each month because the system only provides about 25% of my known energy needs, when they tell you it is going to provide all after it averages out over a year. It has been frustrating and terrible working with this company. The communication is atrocious. Our Sales rep quit the company before our job was even installed. They damaged or property and then refused to fix or pay for it. They charge the next customers for all the materials that "disappear " from the job site. I have photos of materials that disappeared during attempted install and when confronted about it, I was reassured that MY price wouldn't change, that the next people that agreed to work with Blue Raven, would have that loss rolled into their price. It is also frustrating that instead of investing in fixing the problems, Blue Raven Solar simply gets reviews deleted and pulled off websites. How can a company that has been around for over 10 years, only have a few Google reviews??? Impossible!

3 months in, still not fully functional
I contracted Blue Raven Solar to install solar panels on my roof. They started the installation on July 17th, 2024 and had initially told me that everything should be done on that day. However, an electrician needed to come back on the July 19th for some pending items and that happened too. Once this was all done, my utility company sent me confirmation that my system is ready to operate on July 26th. I was not provided any information on how to setup the account to turn on, so they had to send out another technician on August 19th. At this point, it had already been a month since the install and 3 weeks since I got approval to turn the system on. We did turn the system on August 2nd, but half of the panels were reporting errors. This is where everything started going down the drain. They kept scheduling dates for a technician to arrive and do some work. A couple of times, the technician would forget and come back the next day. He did some checks and mentioned the installers did a poor job firstly of putting too many panels on the strings tripping a couple of the breakers and then later that the wires on the roof were completely exposed and he had to re-do them. He came back about a month later to rewire the panels and with some of them done, left for the day saying he didn't have a tool and never showed up. I only get messages from the work orders that an appt has been scheduled 2 weeks in the future but no-one shows up to do the work. It has now been 3 months since the errors and Blue Raven hasn't yet completely fixed the issue nor are they being responsive enough to talk through it. One of the phone support folks wouldn't even listen to me fully. A lead technician was supposed to arrive on October 24th, but when I called Blue Raven, they said they had rescheduled it to November 12th due to a conflict. There was no notification of this and if I hadn't called them, I wouldn't have known of this conflict or reschedule. They seem to say they have great reviews, but it all sounds like a gimmick at this point.

Amazing experience
Very seamless experience, amazing sales person and very professional installation crew. Very happy with the experience so far. The whole process took less than 45 days from start to finish and i was kept informed at every step.

Had a little trouble with delays, but overall satisfied. two employees really stood out Chris the electrician and Jenny tech. They each excelled at what they do were easy to work with. These two have gone above and beyond even when they were not on site, this is what I most appreciated. This is the outstanding service that Blue Raven can be proud of from these two employees.
